Our panel of some of Australia’s best entrepreneurs share their stories – the challenges, sacrifices and perseverance it takes to turn ambition into an enduring business.

Jess May – Enabled Employment

Mrs Jessica May is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the innovative new start-up Enabled Employment a bold internet company which provides employment opportunities for people with disability and other groups from diverse backgrounds. The idea for the company came from Jess’ own experience as a worker with a disability and is now a thriving business helping increase diversity in workplaces while also reduce the stigma of working with a disability. Jess shared from the heart about the sacrifices she made to start the business including the breakdown of relationships.  She gave examples of how her strong mindset helps her overcome obstacles and when she is  faced by people still unsure about how disability affects your ability to be an entrepreneur.

Noga Edelstein – Urbanyou

Noga and her cofounder Elke were frustrated with how hard it was to find quality home help, so they started UrbanYou, to help busy people get things done online. UrbanYou is the leading platform for connecting individuals looking for household services with top-quality, pre-screened independent service professionals. Noga shared her journey and how she left her corporate career as a lawyer to launching the largest household services demand company in Australia, recently acquiring Homehello.

Jessica Ellerm – Zuper

Jess Ellerm is the CEO and Co-Founder of Zuper, a new superannuation startup merging social impact with wealth creation for a new generation of investors. Zuper will allow Australians to put their money to work in industries ranging from clean energy and emerging technology to health and wellness.

Mandi Gunsberger – Babyology

Mandi started Babyology from her dining room table and grew her business into the largest digital parenting network in Australia with over 1.3million Facebook followers.
She recently sold her business and talked about her journey from coming up with the idea, to her exit.
